Answer: As I have filed hundreds and hundreds of lawsuits since starting to practice law in 1987, it is usually a simple matter for me to file a lawsuit for my client, unless the case presents a complex or unusual set of legal issues or factual circumstances. Most auto accident cases or premises liability cases require only a two or three page document called a Complaint.
Filing a lawsuit does not negatively effect the client in any way and, in my experience, will often increase the settlement value of a claim. All of the work necessary to file and then serve the lawsuit on the Defendant will be undertaken by me and my office staff. Thus, there is no reason for a client to feel uneasy or uncertain as to whether a lawsuit should be filed should the time come when I recommend that a lawsuit should be filed in the case.
